Jeffrey Giuliani, MD
Dr. Jeffrey R. Giuliani is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon fellowship-trained and board certified in Sports Medicine. He specializes in all sports injuries of the hip, shoulder, and knee with a special interest in complex hip arthroscopy for labral repair and reconstruction, shoulder replacements, shoulder instability, rotator cuff procedures and knee ligament reconstruction. He joined Inova Medical Group with more than 15 years of clinical experience as a sports surgeon and Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army where he served as Chief of Sports and Shoulder Surgery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
Dr. Giuliani completed his orthopaedic training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington DC and completed a sports medicine fellowship at The United States Military Academy at West Point and at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. In addition to serving as the Orthopaedic Consultant to the White House, he was also the Chief of Orthopaedics during two separate deployments to Afghanistan and the Middle East. He currently is a Team Physician for the Washington Nationals.
Dr. Giuliani’s interest in orthopedics developed from his own injuries sustained during sports. His goal is to bring his own experience with injuries from living an active lifestyle to the bedside of his patients. He wants patients to feel confident and comfortable that they are getting the best possible care for their orthopedic injuries in order to get them back to peak performance.
A native of New Jersey, Dr. Giuliani currently resides in Vienna, Virginia with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time he likes to lift weights, run, cycle, play basketball and volleyball, coach his kids and cook.

Family Life
I am blessed to have a beautiful wife and two amazing daughters. We also have a rescue yorkie terrier named Coco. We are a family that loves to stay active with sports and exercise. We enjoy traveling, cooking, eating, and just spending quality time with each other. The kids are involved in a number of different sports: Soccer, basketball, and volleyball. Personally, I enjoy being active and enjoy running, biking, lifting weights, skiing in the winter and cheering for my daughters.
